ERA campaign kicks off

Today at the NCGA, the ERA-NC Alliance in coordination with their partners AAUW-NC and NC NOW (National Organization for Women), announced a challenge to North Carolinians to find our new billboard posted across NC highlighting the fact that NC women do not have qual rights in our Constitution. Women from all three organizations showed up to hear Sen Floyd McKissick and Rep Julie von Haefen (among other legislators) discuss the importance of NC being the 38th state to ratify the ERA. This campaign builds up to Consitituion Day Sept 17. This national recongnition day highlights the fact that women simply aren’t in the constitution. It’s long past time…100 years since women won the right to vote.#FindYourRights
